What is Fastest Lap Times?
Fastest Lap Times is a community-driven leaderboard for Assetto Corsa, focused on clean, comparable lap times across tracks and cars. The goal is to make lap sharing simple while keeping the leaderboards meaningful and trustworthy.
Unlike fully automated telemetry systems, this platform is designed to work with the data Assetto Corsa already produces — your personal bests — and layer verification and context on top.
How submissions work
-
Sign in with Steam
Steam authentication is used to uniquely identify drivers and associate lap submissions with a real Assetto Corsa account. -
Upload your lap data
Submissions are based on Assetto Corsa’s generated personal best files. These files are typically found in your local Assetto Corsa installation and contain your recorded best lap times per track and car. -
Automatic checks
Uploaded laps are automatically parsed and validated for structure, consistency, and basic integrity before being accepted into the system. -
Verification status
Laps may appear as unverified initially. Select laps — especially top leaderboard entries — can be manually reviewed or require additional evidence before being marked as verified.
Leaderboards & visibility
- Leaderboards are organized by track and car, with the fastest laps shown first.
- Verified laps are clearly distinguished from unverified submissions.
- Driver profiles are linked to Steam for transparency and attribution.
- Aggregate views highlight participation, competition, and depth per track or car.
Why this approach?
Fastest Lap Times aims to strike a balance between accessibility and credibility. By building on existing game-generated data and layering validation rather than enforcing a heavyweight client or always-on telemetry, the barrier to entry stays low — while still rewarding clean, competitive driving.
